I got my knee joint infected 3 years ago, therefore I consulted many orthopaedic surgeons in Freetown. when it started worsening after a year, I went to Ghana and stayed there for a year. I underwent some 18 to 20 procedures but my infection worsened only. When the pain became intolerable, we decided to come to India for my treatment. We arrived at Accord hospital where I was examined by a team of Orthopaedic surgeons and Plastic surgeons. They explained me about my case and told me that amputation was the only option to save from further spreading of infection. I got it done trusting them and it was a life saving decision. after few weeks, I got an artificial limb and now I can do my chores on my own.
